The role 

This role involves developing better practice approaches, including risk management strategies, to enhance taxation administration within Queensland Health. Your responsibilities also include the development and maintenance of policies, procedures, guidelines, and systems to optimize taxation compliance and facilitate continuous improvement in this area. The successful person

You will have demonstrated:

  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and taxation practices, emphasizing public sector financial management and accounting, particularly in taxation administration.
  • Experience in corporate taxation policy and practices, including implementing better practices and continuous improvement initiatives, and addressing complex financial and taxation issues.
  • Expertise in information management technology and financial systems, with skills in research, analysis, and formulating recommendations and reports.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills, including experience in developing and delivering training programs.
