About the role

Permanent full time opportunity to provide expert level clinical leadership and consultation for people with disabilities who have complex and challenging behaviours for Metro North Health.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Lead the delivery of the BERT service, applying expert knowledge of best practice care for management of people with disabilities and their interactions with the health service, as well as expert knowledge of psychology/social work/occupational therapy assessment and management of people with disabilities who have complex and challenging behaviours.
  • Independently deliver expert level, specialised clinical psychology/social work/occupational therapy and consultancy services to BERT clients and their carers, multidisciplinary teams, service providers and other agencies, applying professional judgement to client problems that are significant, complex and critical.
  • Establish, monitor and report on clinical and service outcomes within the BERT and lead quality and a service improvement program to enhance the delivery of BERT services and client outcomes.
