About us:

Day Surgery Services manages the Preadmission Clinic, Day Surgery Ward, Endoscopy Unit (Procedure Room), Post Anaesthetic Recovery Unit (Recovery) and support is given to the Clinical Nurse in the Acute Pain Service. These components of the Day Surgery Services collaborate as an integrated Day Surgery Service.

About the role:

The Clinical Nurse is required to lead and deliver person centred nursing care within a dynamic health environment at an advanced level based on the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia – Registered Nurse Standards of Practice. They are required to provide clinical leadership for clinical practice, education and research. The Clinical Nurse is required to apply critical thinking across all of the 5 domains as well as the expectation to work collaboratively to coordinate and support practice changes and clinical innovation.

About you:

Mandatory qualification/s: Registration as a nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency and a current practicing certificate are mandatory for this position.

Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: Although not mandatory, 3 years post graduate experience within the area and a relevant postgraduate qualification or working towards is desirable for this position.

  • Proven ability to apply contemporary clinical leadership principles and maintain an effective and motivated team.
  • Highly advanced skills and knowledge in Gastroenterology to assist in planning, resource management and development.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $131,900 p.a. is comprised of:

  • A hourly rate between $54.44 - $58.30 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
