The role: 
You will provide specialist expertise and support to improve the PPM system for data capturing and producing business insight to enable the successful delivery of large scale, complex Information Management (IM) and Information Communication Technology (ICT) program/project(s).

The key responsibility is to manage the PPM system enhancement activities including identifying improvement opportunities and the provision of solution development that are responsive to customer needs and sustainable across the delivery environment.

The role will also support furthering the delivery support functions, analytics and insights practices as well as the provision, maintenance and continuous improvement of financial and project delivery reporting dashboards, reports and other data assets.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Provide reporting assistance to large scale, complex Information Management (IM) and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) program/project(s).
  • Maintain baseline information for program/project to support the monthly reporting for delivery governance, senior management, internal and external dashboards.
  • Ensure use of appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools in line with Queensland Health policy.
  • Collaborate with programs and projects to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive reports and dashboards to program/project progress and performance utilising tools such as Power BI.

This role requires significant experience in the provision of systems based on Microsoft products (Project Online, SharePoint Online, PowerBI, Azure And related technologies.) as well as project management and support experience for large scale, complex Information Management (IM) and Information Communication Technology (ICT) program/project(s).

Your well-developed negotiation and communication skills will enable you to effectively negotiate and liaise with both internal and external stakeholders regarding the coordination of outputs of multiple specialist teams to deliver the solution as well as the preparation of written communication materials.

You will have a creative design flair utilising contemporary reporting tools for developing executive and interactive reports, showing potential delivery risks informing a proactive management response.

You will have a proven ability to analyse, plan and manage specialised work packages with a keen eye for detail.

You will have high level knowledge and application of appropriate project and program management methodologies (preferably PRINCE2 and MSP), and an ability to provide expert advice on the use of appropriate project and program management techniques, methodologies, and tools.

You will also require demonstrated ability to develop and manage one or more defined communication channels and/or stakeholder groups, and facilitate the business change decision-making processes, and the planning and implementation of change.
