The Payroll Team Lead will represent Payroll Transactional Services in discussions and decisions with key stakeholders to review, manage and identify issues, risks and impacts from process, system and legislative changes, fostering alignment between technical and business process changes.

This exciting job opportunity falls under the Corporate Enterprise Solutions branch within the Department of Health and provides solutions and services that support Queensland Health's enterprise corporate applications while also supporting the payroll transactional processes. This application suite includes the largest integrated rostering and payroll solution in the public sector and the finance, business and logistics solution and management environment. 

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and undertake the analysis of business process, development of communications and training and documentation to ensure processes and procedures are met as a result of system implementations.
  • Manage team members through coaching, mentoring and performance management to ensure optimal outcomes and professional growth. This includes setting clear expectations, providing regular feedback and identifying opportunities for professional development.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships to support successful outcomes by engaging with internal and external stakeholders, managing expectations as well as negotiating and influencing outcomes.
  • Engaging and collaborating with a geographically dispersed stakeholder group to identify and report on risks and issues relating to proposed system and business process changes that impact Payroll Transactional Services.
