Reporting to the Manager, you will be a Orthopaedic Technologist in a busy Fracture Clinic and will be responsible for providing care within scope of practice.
The successful applicant will contribute to creating a safe and healthy environment for patients, staff and others, working in compliance with the hospital code of conduct and the provisions of health and safety policies and legislation. Utilizes protective equipment provided and identifies and reports hazards. In this role you will engage in ethical conduct and strive to understand and appreciate the diversity of our patient population and workforce.

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Community college diploma
• Graduate from a recognized Orthopaedic Technologist program sanctioned by the C.S.O.T. (Canadian Society of Orthopaedic Technologist)
• 2 years work experience as a Registered Orthopaedic Technologist required
• Current BCLS
• Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills required
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as a valued member of a team
• Demonstrated ability to work under pressure
• Demonstrated customer service skills
• Demonstrates values consistent with SHN′s Code of Conduct and is committed to fostering a healthy and positive work environment in accordance with Health & Safety policy and legislation.
• Demonstrates an understanding of and commitment to SHN's comprehensive safety programs and practices including staff safety, patient safety, and environmental safety and participates in regular in-service education in this area.
• Strong work ethic and commitment is required
• Demonstrated high standards of work outputs
• Highly punctual
• Demonstrated professionalism and reliability
