Staff Specialist Paediatric Radiologist

Work with the Director of Medical Imaging in the provision of current services in addition to planning and implementation of new Paediatric Imaging Services, in line with the planned facility expansion of the TPCH.

  • The successful candidate will work with the Director of Medical Imaging in the provision of current services in addition to planning and implementation of new Paediatric Imaging Services, in line with the planned facility expansion.
  • The Staff Specialist, Paediatric Radiologist Medical Imaging will provide a full range of high‑quality diagnostic imaging services to The Prince Charles Hospital. The Staff Specialist, Paediatric Radiologist, Medical Imaging will assist the Director and Deputy Director, share responsibility for the clinical quality, cost efficiency and effective delivery of medical imaging services to include (but not be exclusive) Paediatric Imaging in The Prince Charles Hospital.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Comply with and utilise procedures, policies, regulations and standards which impact upon the position, including contemporary human resource management requirements and practices, such as workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti‑discrimination policies.
  • Evaluate and perform procedures for patients referred for imaging services, supervise the performance of clinical diagnostic procedures, and provide diagnostic interpretation, reporting and communicate results of procedures to referring practitioners in a timely and clinically relevant manner.
  • Participate actively in the Department's clinical and technical quality assurance programs.
