HSEQ Advisor

Core Talent are recruiting for a reputable Tier 2 Construction Company, this company has outstanding culture and delivers luxury multi res projects. This company is seeking a highly motivated HSE Advisor to joined a project Inner Brisbane ASAP.
Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain the company's HSE management systems, policies, and procedures in compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits of construction sites to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Provide advice and guidance to project managers, supervisors, and workers on safe work practices, hazard identification, and risk mitigation.
  • Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and develop appropriate corrective and preventive actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Deliver safety training programs and toolbox talks to enhance safety awareness and promote a proactive safety culture.
  • Monitor and assess subcontractors' compliance with safety requirements and ensure they adhere to the company's safety standards.
  • Review and evaluate subcontractors' safety plans, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures.
  • Stay up to date with relevant legislation, codes of practice, and industry standards, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Prepare regular reports on HSE performance, statistics, and trends for management review.
  • Participate in safety committee meetings and contribute to the development and achievement of safety objectives.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry
  • Project experience in high rise residential / apartments is required
  • Safety degree, diploma or relevant qualification required
