About the role
This exciting and key new role has been created to provide support to Eastern Health’s Access unit through the addition of dedicated senior medical expertise. The role will involve contributing to the development of unit pathways and guidelines, provision of written and verbal advice to the Eastern Health Executive and Senior Leadership Team members and direction to Access Unit Staff. The fractional nature of the position reflects that the role will primarily involve strategic input and contributions to unit development however regular attendance at key meetings will be required as will coordination of negotiations between units to establish agreements regarding responsibilities for care. It is expected that the optimal workflows and tasks undertaken as part of this role will evolve over time based on regular reflection, feedback and evaluation.
