The Role:
The Obstetric & Gynaecology Consultant is responsible for the provisions of Specialist Obstetrician & Gynaecologist Services for patients at this Regional Hospital and will be involved in the training and supervision of medical, midwifery and nursing staff as required.

Situated approximately 300 kilometres northwest of the state capital Melbourne, this is a lively city with a vibrant river and friendly locals, it has great coffee and boutique shopping, a range of dining and accommodation options, arts, culture, recreation and more.

The Facility:
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Grampians Health Services provides inpatient and outpatient services for the women of Horsham and surrounding regions. Clinics offered in this service include antenatal care, gestational diabetes, high risk pregnancy care, surgical gynaecology, colposcopy, and family planning.

The maternity service is the birthplace for approximately 300 - 400 births annually and is a level 4 service in the Victorian Maternity Services Capability Framework. Our maternity service cares for women birthing from 36 weeks and is supported by our Paediatric Service, in partnership with the Grampians Health – Ballarat campus maternity service.

The Requirements:

• To apply you must hold the FRANZCOG or be eligible to obtain.
• Registered with AHPRA with Specialist Registration (FRANCOG) and have at least 12 months recent
• IMG's eligible for Competent Authority Pathway - UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, NZ
• IMG's with FRANZCOG interview date
• IMG's assessed by FRANZCOG and found to be substantially comparable.
