Permanent Full-time position 80 hrs p.f.
Remuneration $468,044 p.a.

We are looking for an exceptional Clinical Director (Consultant Psychiatrist) to lead our Mental Health and Specialised Services (MHSS) Department across the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service.

SCHHS Salary includes:

  • Base salary comprising of between
    • $204,206 - $258,910 p.a.
  • Motor vehicle allowance
    • L18 - L24 $21,000 p.a.
    • L25 - L27 $25,500 p.a.
  • Clinical Managers Allowance $32,679 p.a.
  • Attraction and Retention Allowance up to 50% of base salary
  • Professional development allowance $21,500 p.a.

The role of the Clinical Director, Mental Health and Specialised Services (MHSS) is to provide high quality clinical and non-clinical leadership and direction to benefit the patients accessing the Mental Health and Specialised Services in the SCHHS. Our service delivery sees acute inpatient care and sub-speciality services based at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital (SCUH) and Nambour General Hospital (NGH). These services provide short to medium term inpatient assessment and treatment of serious mental illnesses.  An emergency department response is provided at SCUH, NGH and Gympie hospital. As the Service positions itself to meet the future population demands and local health needs, key initiatives are supported to drive continuous improvement, support the patient safety agenda, foster a research culture, ensure workforce development, and ensure a robust performance framework that demonstrates high organisational outcomes.  

In addition to your clinical and professional expertise, you must have skills in managing people, leadership and sustainable financial decision accountability.
