Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerLocation: Our client in SingaporeDepartment: ManufacturingReports to: Manufacturing ManagerPosition Summary:My client is seeking a highly skilled and innovative Manufacturing Engineer to join our team in the pharmaceutical industry. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for optimizing manufacturing processes, ensuring the efficiency and quality of production, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Process Optimization:Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and productivity.Implement process controls and improvements to reduce variability and enhance product consistency.Utilize lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline operations.Equipment and Technology:Evaluate, select, and implement new manufacturing equipment and technologies.Oversee the installation, commissioning, and validation of manufacturing equipment.Develop and maintain equipment maintenance schedules and troubleshoot equipment issues.Quality Assurance:Ensure manufacturing processes comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory requirements.Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to identify and address quality issues.Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for production-related issues.Project Management:Lead and manage manufacturing projects from concept to completion.Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets, and track project progress.Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution.Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings.Implement continuous improvement initiatives and track performance metrics.Provide training and support to production staff on new processes and technologies.Documentation and Reporting:Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.Prepare technical reports, presentations, and project updates for management.Compliance and Safety:Ensure all manufacturing activities are conducted in compliance with safety regulations and company policies.Participate in safety audits and risk assessments.Qualifications and Skills:Education:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.Experience:Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.Skills:Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA regulations, and pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.Proficiency in using process simulation software and CAD tools.Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.Strong project management and organizational abilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.Certifications:Lean Six Sigma certification is an advantage.Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.Working Conditions:Full-time position.Office and production floor environment.May require occasional travel and shift work, including weekends and public holidays.
