An exciting opportunity exists for a General Manager to demonstrate accountability for effective strategic and operational leadership and management for the medical, nursing and health professionals within Clinical Services, Sunshine Coast University Hospital. The role works collaboratively with executive and clinical leadership team members, across Community Preventive Health & Facilities to fulfil the accountabilities in accordance with SCHHS vision, values, and strategic direction and engages with other internal and external partners to build relationships.

Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a collaborative partner with Hospital and Health Service Executive in the planning and delivery of health services with the associated budgetary accountabilities.
  • Responsible for ensuring professional reporting / supervision is in place for all employees within Community and Preventive Health and Facilities across the SCHHS.
  • Responsible for the leadership, governance, operational and performance management of clinical services and provide timely and accurate reporting with a focus on KPI's and outcomes for CPH and Facilities.
  • Drive the key strategic framework, policies and processes necessary to ensure that budget management, financial policy, systems and controls are met to ensure operational performance.

Total Remuneration comprising salary between $246 003 - $266 020 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HES2 (H)) (Contract Full time position,76 hrs p.f for 3 years).
