About the role

This role works as part of the Outpatients Department of the Mount Isa Hospital providing professional, safe and quality patient and family centred care.

Permanent full-time role, 76 hours p.f.

What's on offer?

  • Base salary ranges between $82,753 and $106,144 p.a. (Nurse Grade 5).
  • 5 weeks p.a. recreational leave + 17.5% loading.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution.

Staff Accommodation (share) may be available or a rental subsidy of $82.50 p.w. up to 17 months.

Professional Development: we offer in-house training, development and mentoring programs, and 2 weeks p.a. plus travel as required and enrolment and conference costs for approved courses and conferences.

Rural and Remote incentives: two (2) return airfares p.a. (inc. spouse/dependents) to the nearest east coast provincial city in conjunction with recreation leave. Annual isolation bonus at the conclusion of 1 year $3,500, 2 years $10,500 and 3rd and consecutive years $7,000.

Long service and sick leave accrual.

Appointment and Transfer expenses may apply.

Requirements

  • Mandatory requirements are a relevant tertiary degree qualification and appropriate registration/licences.
  • This position will require you to work Monday to Friday as per departmental business requirements.
  • Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant.
  • This is a VPD risk role.
  • 6-months' probation may apply.
