About your opportunity:

To plan, develop, implement, and evaluate allied health service planning and project initiatives relating to local TUH projects and strategies that align with The Statewide Brain and Spinal Cord Injury (BaSCI) Project as directed. The overall objective of The Statewide BaSCI project is to expand, improve and innovate new and equitable acquired brain injury and spinal cord injury rehabilitation services in Queensland.

Generous remuneration package value up to $13,965 p.m. (HP5) or $13,724 p.m. (Nurse Grade 7) comprising:

  • Salary range of $5395.60 to $5630.00 p.f. (HP5) or $5081.10 to $5516.60 p.f. (Nurse Grade 7)
  • Annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements

  • Proof of qualification (Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Psychology, Social Worker or Speech Pathology) and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
  • Social Worker: It is a mandatory requirement for all social work positions that the candidate is eligible for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • The successful applicant must hold a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in a relevant, eligible Health Practitioner Profession and be eligible for registration/ membership with the relevant allied health registration board and/or professional body.
  • A post-graduate qualification in a relevant field will be highly regarded.
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
  • Possession of class C drivers' licence.
  • Travel: Please note, from time-to-time this position will be required to travel to, and work at, other facilities located within North Queensland to participate in meetings for planning, quality, performance or provide training and education, or clinical activities.  This may involve day and/or overnight stays.  Travel on small planes or ferry may be required. The successful applicant/s will need to be able to commit to this requirement.
