Your opportunity:

  • Provide expert emergency clinical care and advice to patients to ensure provision of appropriate patient care in the Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals Emergency Departments
  • Provide professional leadership in the area of emergency medicine within a multidisciplinary environment
  • Provide training, education and supervision to junior medical staff and other health care team members

Temporary Full Time (80 hours p.f.) and Temporary Part Time Positions (hours negotiable) from date of appointment for up to 12 months with the possibility of extension.

Prior to being made an offer of employment, you will be required to demonstrate immunity to the following Vaccine Preventable Diseases ( https://tinyurl.com/yc6pgyt2 )(VPD): Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (chicken pox) and Pertussis (whooping cough).

Our offer:

You will receive a competitive remuneration package value up to $525,984 p.a., comprising salary between $176,802 - $258,910 p.a. (f/t) or salary between $89.16 - $124.05 p.h. (p/t) (L13 - L27) motor vehicle allowance, professional development allowance, professional development leave 3.6 weeks p.a., professional indemnity cover and private practice arrangements.  Overtime and on-call allowances will be negotiated with the successful applicant upon appointment. Employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%)  (Temporary Full Time, 80 hours p.f., and Temporary Part Time Positions, hours negotiable, from date of appointment for up to 12 months with the possibility of extension).  (Applications will remain current for 12 months).
