The Role These opportunities suit highly skilled clinicians with extensive experience in the practice of evidence based Obstetrics and Gynaecology. The successful candidates will provide leadership, and work as a team member while demonstrating a commitment to teaching medical students, residents, registrars as well as nursing/midwifery and allied health professionals. Demonstrated commitment to all aspects of clinical governance, demonstrated high level communication and interpersonal skills and demonstrated experience conducting and leading research and audit in relevant areas of practice are essential criteria.
The Facility The hospital delivers approximately 450 babies each year and is staffed by a specialist team of midwives, obstetricians, and paediatricians who can care for babies as young as 34 weeks. The hospital has a 24-hour emergency department, operating theatres, Critical Care Unit, Level 2 Special Care Nursery, maternity services, paediatrics, dialysis, oncology, and general medical and surgical wards.
Requirements Applicants must hold the FRANZCOG. Applicants expecting to be elected to Fellowship in the coming months may be considered. IMGs who have been assessed by RANZCOG and deemed Substantially Comparable may apply.
