An exciting opportunity exists for the Clinical Nurse to perform the role of Team Leader which involves coordinating staff, liaising with medical and other staff members, problem solving, conflict resolution, acting as the point of contact for the shift, ensuring patient safety and staff safety and allocating staff and skill mix at the Nambour General Hospital Emergency Department.
Department of Emergency Medicine (DEM) provides non-discretionary 24-hour emergency care where the is expected to be able to practice autonomously and provide leadership in clinical decision making. They have the responsibility for professional leadership in the absence of the Nurse Grade 7 and an opportunity to work collaboratively to lead practice changes and clinical innovation.
As the Clinical Nurse (CN) you will be the role model of the desired behaviours, mentoring and coaching other staff within the department while also supporting the CNC and NUM.
Managing a portfolio is a requirement of this position which includes a departmental responsibility for meeting Key Performance Indicators (KPI's), providing education and contributing to the development and review of policies and procedures.
Paediatric experience is valuable for a CN lead in a paediatric footprint, yet proficiency in both adult and paediatric care is essential due to the requirement to work across diverse patient populations.
Your key responsibilities
Remuneration value up to $131,900 p.a., comprising salary between $107,960 - $115,604 p.a. (F/T), or salary rates: $54.44 - $58.30 p.h. (P/T), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 6 (1)) (full time or part time position available, hours negotiable).
