The role
The Workforce Program Manager will be responsible for driving large scale initiatives prescribed in the Health Workforce Strategy for Queensland to 2032 (HWS) and relevant workforce initiatives across the health system.

Your key responsibilities will include:
•    Manage the successful delivery of HWS projects and relevant workforce initiatives in line with best practice project management methodologies.
•    Develop project plans and apply appropriate project management techniques, methodologies and tools, that ensure a well-documented approach to benefits realisation, risk and issue management and quality project outcomes.
•    Lead the development of internal quality governance and reporting processes to support the Assistant Deputy Director-General Workforce Strategy, Senior Director Workforce Strategy Unit and Director Workforce Strategy Unit.
•    Lead the design and implementation of data governance insights, policies, processes and procedures and deliver data management strategies for Queensland Health that enables a shift towards federated data management.
•    Strategically engage and maintain strong professional partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

The successful person
You will have demonstrated:
•    Evidenced background in successfully managing and delivering complex projects and business change management activity.
•    Expertise in applying established project management methodologies and providing advice on the use of appropriate project management techniques and tools.
•    Well-developed leadership and team management skills, and experience in building and sustaining high profile multi-disciplinary project teams to achieve high quality project outcomes within agreed budgets.
•    Highly developed communication and interpersonal competence, including resilience and a proven ability to lead negotiations, resolve conflict and positively influence and motivate others in a significant environment of reform and change.

Clinical Planning & Service Strategy (CPSS) is responsible for delivering clinical service strategy and planning, workforce strategy and planning and leadership, mental health strategy and planning and precision medicine and research functions to improve health services available to the Queensland community, optimise health gains, reduce inequalities, and maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of the health system

The Workforce Strategy Branch is responsible for leading and developing key processes to support the sustainability and capability of the health workforce. This includes leading strategic workforce planning and policy development, and identifying and developing opportunities for clinical enhancements, extended scope, and optimising clinical education and training.
