The role  
The Workforce Program Advisor collaborates with team members and the business in the contribution of development, promotion and implementation of workforce program activities and initiatives and acts as an internal consultant in the development, implementation and evaluation of initiatives aligned to the Health Workforce Strategy for Queensland to 2032 (HWS) and other workforce initiatives across the health system. 

The successful person
The successful person will demonstrate:
•    Knowledge of, or the ability to acquire knowledge to identify and implement workforce program strategies in a large, complex organisational environment.
•    Ability to manage the design, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of projects in a large, complex service delivery organisation Strong written and oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to maintain productive professional relationships
•    Sound knowledge and ability to project manage, complex and time-critical projects, including the ability to respond and adapt to changing priorities and competing demands.
•    Demonstrated high level interpersonal, problem solving, negotiation, facilitation, presentation and client relationship management skills, including achievement in cultivating productive working relationships, partnerships and teamwork and negotiate outcome and effectively represent the interests of the Department in dealing with internal and external stakeholders.

The Clinical Planning and Service Strategy (CPSS) division is newly established, focusing on enhancing health services in Queensland. This includes clinical service strategy, workforce planning, mental health strategy, and precision medicine and research. CPSS collaborates with various stakeholders, such as health system leaders, academic organizations, and government agencies. The System Planning Branch (SPB) within CPSS assesses statewide health service needs, develops plans, and informs investment priorities, supporting local health service planning and undertaking specific projects to advance healthcare development.

The Workforce Strategy Branch is responsible for leading and developing key processes to support the sustainability and capability of the health workforce. This includes leading strategic workforce planning and policy development, and identifying and developing opportunities for clinical enhancements, extended scope, and optimising clinical education and training.
