Community Acute and Non-Acute Services is a multidisciplinary team that focuses on evidence-based practice, continuous quality improvement and risk management, including information-based decision making as mechanisms for improving the quality, standards and safety of the health service provided.

The hospital substitution service, HITH, is committed to managing and supporting clients through an acute phase of illness while remaining within the familiar environment of their home or facility through the provision of client focused care.

About the role:

The Administration Officer provides comprehensive, effective, and efficient client centred administration support for the Community Acute and Non-Acute Services (CANAS) team that supports quality health care and service delivery.

  • Accurate and timely entry of patient data into Hospital Based Corporate Information System (HBCIS), as well as physical filing into patient charts and dissemination of discharge summaries to relevant parties.
  • Performing secretariat functions and providing other administrative duties as required by the Nurse Unit Manager.

About you:

  • Ability to plan, meet deadlines and prioritise workloads whilst working autonomously and with other team members.
  • Demonstrated ability in the use of Microsoft Office applications and Queensland Health software information systems with efficient, competent, and accurate keyboard skills.
  • Ability to perform effective and efficient administrative support utilising contemporary office equipment and face to face reception duties.
  • Ability to adapt quickly in a changing teamwork environment, to meet the needs of patients and services delivery.

What we offer:

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $94,810 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $37.68 - $41.90 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
