The Location: Our client is a leading regional hospital based in a university town within an hour's drive of Melbourne. The Facility: With more than 3500 staff and covering an area a quarter the size of Victoria, the hospital has over 650 beds which treats over 42,000 in-patients, attends to 50,000 emergency cases and delivers approximately 1400 babies each year. In addition we have a 20 bed intensive care unit, an 80-bed integrated psychiatry facility and 11 operating theatres where almost 13,000 surgical procedures are performed annually.
The Role: This is a full-time role from February 2025 for 12 months.
The position is suitable for an experienced Obstetrics & Gynaecology Registrar to further develop skills working alongside FRANZCOGs, Senior Medical Officers and RANZCOG trainees in a dynamic team within a busy department.
Although unaccredited, the role offers a wide range of experience in O&G with exposure to the subspecialties of Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Urogynaecology, Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility & Gynaecological Oncology. This large hospital has over 1400 births per year.
The Requirements: It is essential that you hold full Registration with AHPRA and have experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology or are eligible for registration via the CA or specialist pathway to work at Registrar level.
