Position: Cardiac SonographerJob Summary:Conducts diagnostic assessments of cardiac structures and hemodynamics, adhering to relevant scope and practice standards.Responsibilities:Perform echocardiography procedures, selecting transducers based on anatomy, discerning normal and abnormal structures, and ensuring diagnostic adequacy. Evaluate imaging results for quality and accuracy, recording and transmitting findings.Review patient histories and physician directives, providing education on procedures and equipment to ensure patient cooperation.Administer contrast media or medications as directed, monitoring patient responses and promptly reporting changes in condition.Maintain safety standards and conduct equipment quality control checks, addressing any malfunctions as needed.Exercise critical thinking and judgment, working autonomously in a dynamic environment and taking appropriate actions as required.Requirements: Registered SonographerRegistered Cardiovascular SononographerGraduate of an accredited Ultrasound Technologist or Diagnostic Medical Sonographer program.Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS), or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). State licensure if required by law.Minimum Experience: 6months - 1 yearBLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire.Location: Aurora CODepartment: Echocardiography FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks) Shift: Days Pay: $38.72 - $58.08 / hour.
