2 x 48 hours per fortnight Permanent part-time positions available

The role of the Registered Nurse is to provide direct nursing care utilising clinical skills, education and support to provide patients within the unit quality patient care and the provision of best practice.

Medical Ward 2 is one of five medical wards that fall within the Medical Services Group (MSG). It is a 29-bed acute medical ward with specialties of general medicine, rheumatology and endocrinology. Medical Ward 2 strives to provide a client-focused and value-driven service to clients and their families within the Townsville Hospital and Health Service.

Generous remuneration package value up to $76,714 p.a. comprising:

• Salary range of $35.92 to $38.12 p.h. (Nurse Grade 5)
• Annual leave with 17.5% loading
• 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent is a mandatory qualification for this position.
• Proof of qualification, registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate.
• This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
• Probation period may apply.
• Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
