The BreastScreen Service at the Mackay Community Health Centre is seeking applications for a Service Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity

  • To work collaboratively with and provide advice to the Clinical Director, to lead the overall strategic, financial and operational management of BreastScreen Queensland Mackay Service within the Mackay Hospital and Health Service. 
  • This role provides leadership, management and direction to a multidisciplinary team to achieve and maintain National Accreditation in line with BreastScreen Australia National Accreditation Standards. The role holds and exercises financial and human resource delegation to manage day to day service operations.

About the Team

The BreastScreen Queensland (BSQ) Mackay Service is part of the BreastScreen Australia and BreastScreen Queensland Programs and jointly funded by the Commonwealth and state and territory governments. The aim of the program is to reduce morbidity and mortality from breast cancer through early detection of the disease. The program provides a free population-based mammography screening and assessment service and invites women aged between 50 and74 years to participate every two years. However, women aged between 40 and49 years and over 74 years are also eligible to access the Program.
