About your opportunity:

Permanent full-time and part-time opportunities

Seeking a radiographer with a high level of clinical experience in both radiography and a minimum of one other modality of speciality. Under the direction of the clinical lead, provide clinical leadership and work as a member of the modality team in provision of an imaging service to stakeholders/customers of Queensland Health.

This position will provide education and impart knowledge to staff, patients, and the public regarding the clinical and safety considerations specific to medical imaging and provide a patient focus to the performance of duties.

The ideal applicant will be someone who has proven ability and can demonstrate the following: 

  • Clinical Expertise: Demonstrated high levels of knowledge and clinical skills, exercising independent professional judgement in problem solving and clinical management, where established principles, procedures and methods require some expansion, adaptation or modification.
  • Communication: Demonstrated highly developed personal and effective communication skills.
  • Personal Integrity: A strongly held sense of commitment to openness, honesty, inclusiveness, and high standards in undertaking this leadership role.
  • Self-Awareness: Demonstrated ability to know own strengths and limitations and understand your own emotion and the impact of behaviour on others in diverse situations.
  • Collaborative Working: A strong commitment to working and engaging constructively within the team environment.

What's on offer: 

  • Generous remuneration package value up to $152,775 p.a. comprising:
  • Salary range of $4769.60 to $5132.40 p.f. or $62.75 to $67.53 p.h. (HP4)
  • 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading
  • 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation.

Requirements:

  • Mandatory:
    • A tertiary qualification (or equivalent) from a recognised tertiary institution in Medical Imaging Technology (Diagnostic Radiography)
    • Hold current registration with the Medical Radiations Practice Board of the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Radiation Professional.
    • Eligible for Radiation Use Licence issued by Queensland Health  - Radiation Health
  • Highly Desirable:
    • Post Graduate qualification relevant to area of expertise
    • Hold the Australian Society of Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy (A.S.M.I.R.T) Level 1 Accreditation, if relevant, and
    • Evidence of significant relevant Professional Development activities
  • This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
  • Probation period may apply.
  • Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
