The role  
In this role, you will lead testing design and quality assurance methodologies on the data warehouse, Oracle Apex and test automation platforms to ensure applications are tested and assured for quality throughout the environments, from source systems to access provisioning. Acting as an internal test specialist consultant, you will liaise with project teams to correctly interpret testing requirements, providing leadership, advice, and clear communication of testing outcomes. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the implementation of quality testing methods that align with best practice ICT testing frameworks, encompassing strategies, policies, processes, templates, tools, and standards. You will also develop project Test Strategies and Test Plans within a requirements and risks-based testing and assurance framework, managing various types of testing in line with the Test Strategy, including the provision of test environments, technical support, and documentation reviews.

Furthermore, you will maintain an in-depth knowledge of testing and technical specialties, providing expert advice and guidance on any aspect of test planning and execution. Leading the review of technical and business design requirements, you will identify alternative solutions and manage ICT testing resource requirements according to project schedules to meet project milestones. Ethical decision-making in achieving organizational goals is essential, and you will comply with and utilize contemporary human resource practices and policies, including workplace health and safety, ethical behaviour, equal employment opportunity, anti-discrimination, and Queensland Health's Code of Conduct.

The successful person
To be successful in this role, you will have demonstrated experience working in the health industry, with expertise in software development within the statistical and data collection business domains being highly desirable. You should also have proven experience in planning system, acceptance, and automation tests, along with an excellent understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and techniques within large, complex IM/ICT programs or projects (SFIA Skill: TEST: Level 5).

Additionally, you will have demonstrated experience in implementing quality testing methods and frameworks to ensure testing integrity, as well as the ability to develop project test strategies, test products, and test cases (SFIA Skill: TEST: Level 5). You should also have experience in all phases of testing, including planning, resource allocation, cost management, scheduling, test deliverables, and auditability for large, complex IM/ICT programs or projects (SFIA Skill: TEST: Level 5).
