About you:

In your new role you will…

  • Demonstrate an advanced knowledge of contemporary practice and theory in Medical Imaging.
  • Demonstrate an advanced understanding of the relevant standards and processes, engages in incident investigation with risk mitigation strategies that foster and support safe practice.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships, open communication within a healthcare team.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of contemporary Human Resource Management issues at both broad and specific level, with particular reference to workplace Health and Safety, Equal Employment Opportunity and Antidiscrimination.

About your opportunity:

In this position you will provide advanced clinical and problem - solving skills, expert planning and coordination skills in the clinical management of a wide variety of patients with diverse needs, ensuring quality standards are met. The CN works in coordination with a larger team of medical professionals, including Radiologists, Consultants, Radiology Technicians, Specialists, and other nurses. This role is pivotal in the planning, managing and delivering of professional clinical practice, leadership, education and research for safe, quality patient and family centred nursing care.

About your role:

  • Provide leadership in obtaining positive patient outcomes across the care continuum by demonstrating advanced nursing leadership, management and clinical care in the assessment, care and evaluation of nursing interventions for patients with complex care needs while in the Medical Imaging specialty.
  • Provides advanced clinical and problem solving skills, expert planning and coordination skills in the clincal management of Medical Imaging patients with complex care needs, ensuring quality standards are met.
  • Apply contemporary human resource management principles to ensure that the Department working environment meets legislative standards and Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service policies and procedures.
