We are looking to recruit a talented bioinformatician to join our growing bioinformatics team. As a bioinformatic scientist, you will apply your expertise in programming, data science, and pipeline development across a wide range of projects to support and accelerate Insmed Innovation UKs drug discovery and development programmes.ResponsibilitiesKey ResponsibilitiesBe a contributor in a dynamic multidisciplinary team, designing and maintaining critical bioinformatic tools and pipelines.Provide analytical and statistical rigour to empower better decision making during experimental design.Act as a subject expert, working with scientists and project leads to leverage existing bioinformatic resources to facilitate data driven science.Promote data integrity by employing current Insmed best practices for data handling and storage, to empower broadscale analyses.Liaise with internal and external collaborators. Qualifications and other requirementsRequired:A post-graduate degree (or equivalent experience) in bioinformatics, biology, genetics, medicine, machine learning, statistics, computer science or a similar areaA keen interest in bioinformatics or computational biology and a passion for developing flexible solutions to complex problems.Experience working with and analysing NGS dataConfident coding in python and using common third-party python libraries (numpy, scipy, pandas, ...etc).Experience presenting findings to non-expertsA good understanding of statistics and their application across a range of data types.Experience with git version control, preferably with familiarity of branching and mergingPlease use the below link for job application and quicker response.https://lifelancer.com/jobs/view/2382babc4ad765d3d3db9de9ef031bb6
