About you:

In your new role you will…… 

  • Demonstrate ability to manage and organise the daily functioning, procedures and practices relating to the administration of a clinical team and the ability to work well with minimal supervision to prioritise tasks and to accept non-routine tasks.
  • Demonstrate skills and knowledge in the use of computerised information systems and knowledge of Microsoft software applications with the ability to support other team members to utilise these systems.
  • Demonstrate ability to offer a client-focused service through high level interpersonal skills including the ability to interact with a diverse range of people.

About your opportunity:

In this position you will provide administration support to clinical staff affiliated with the School Immunisation Program including internal and external support services and to also fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Queensland Health's core values.

About your role:

  • Manage patient administration information by ensuring efficient, accurate and timely date entry in Queensland Health data bases and the vaccination systems such as AIR (Australian Immunisation Records) and VIVAS as per guidelines and policies.
  • Utilise high level, negotiation and problem solving skills by communicating in both written and oral forms and functioning within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Maintain the training of staff members in the use of Queensland Health and vaccination systems.

  • Manage the appointment booking services for the School Immunisation clinics in a timely and efficient manner in line with clinican, schools and National Immunisation schedules.
