About your opportunity:

In this position you will deliver competent, quality direct nursing care, within specific areas of expertise and assisting in the achievement of service goals. The Registered Nurse Community Health practices as a member of a multidisciplinary team in partnership with community-based organisations and other government departments.

About your role:

  • The provision of a Healthy and Safe environment within Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service is everyone's responsibility.
  • Provide effective and efficient clinical care in the area of clinical specialty and work in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager to ensure the maintenance of safe standards in patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice activities to ensure the provision of quality, cost-effective patient care.
  • Apply contemporary human resource management principles to ensure that the unit working environment meets legislative standards and CHHHS policies and procedures.
