ST3-5 Level

12 months fixed term, commencing 7 August 2024

St Michael’s Hospital is a large teaching hospital closely linked with the University of Bristol.

We are currently seeking applications for 1 Clinical Teaching Fellows (ST3-5) to start on 7 August 2024. The post will provide an exciting opportunity to receive training in undergraduate medical education and educational research, and to undertake a fully funded Certificate in Teaching & Learning for Health Professionals at the University of Bristol.

Main duties of the job

Duties of the post will include the care of inpatients and outpatients. The role will also include labour ward and gynaecology sessions. The ‘out of hours’ commitment will involve long days, weekends and night duty with compensatory scheduled time off duty. 

Annual leave and study leave are covered prospectively.  As a valued member of the middle-grade team you will be included in the educational and training activities of the unit and encouraged to contribute to the teaching of nurses, midwives and other junior doctors in the team.
