The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Senior Registrar (Advanced Endoscopy Fellow - Gut) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Perform patient histories, examinations and diagnosis, including organising appropriate investigations
- Coordinate interventional endoscopy consultations and lists
- Provide leadership and teaching to the junior members of the Gastroenterology department and contribute to research
- Extend your knowledge and expertise in Gastroenterology and particularly in Endoscopy
About you
To be successful in this position you will require:
- Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
- AHPRA Registration
- Completion a minimum of 2- 3 years of Gastroenterology training and be eligible for medical registration in Australia
- Evidence of experience and skills meeting Conjoint Committee for the Recognition of Training in Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (CCRTGE) certification standards
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary full time (12 months)
- Base salary ranging from $160 444 - $176 802 per annum

The department of Gastroenterology currently has 23 Consultants, 2 advanced trainees and 4 Fellow positions. The department has three core subspecialities: Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Endoscopy and Hepatology, along with a comprehensive general Gastroenterology and Nutritional service.
