About you:

In your new role you will…

  • Demonstrate expertise assessing and managing public interest disclosures, with the ability to operate effectively in a sensitive and complex work environment.
  • Demonstrate expertise in the interpretation, application and provision of advice on the application of legislation, regulation, policies and procedures as they relate to the management of public interest disclosures.
  • Demonstrate expertise in complaint handling processes and of ethical and professional practice standards, with the ability to operate effectively in a high volume, sensitive and complex work environment.

About your opportunity:

In this position you will provide advice and support to the Chief Executive with respect to matters involving the Ethics and Integrity of the Health Service, including matters of suspected corrupt conduct and Public Interest Disclosures. To support the organisation's value-based culture to embrace an ethical ethos in all interactions in the workplace.

About your role:

  • Maintain high working knowledge of the Crime and Corruption Act 2001, the Hospital and Health Boards Act 2011, Public Interest Disclosure Act 2010 and other relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
  • Manage receipt and assessment of complex and sensitive complaints and information from employees and stakeholders to ascertain whether the alleged conduct amounts to suspected corrupt conduct and/or a public interest disclosure.
  • Communicate and negotiate with the Crime and Corruption Commission, Qld Police Service, Office of the Health Ombudsman, Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency and other relevant internal and external stakeholders with regard to the management of matters.
