A unique and exciting opportunity exists for a Pharmacist Senior to join the Pharmacy Services team. As a senior member of the Pharmacy Services team, you will provide high level pharmaceutical services to the patients of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service. This position will ensure the safe, effective, judicious use of medicines across the continuum of care, whilst remaining compliant with relevant regulatory statues and promoting the efficient use of public resources.

Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south to Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include: 

  • Provide high-level clinical services throughout the patient journey, with both inpatient and outpatient care. Your responsibilities will include documenting patient admissions, conducting clinical medication reviews, and collaboratively formulating medication management plans.
  • Utilise your high-level knowledge and clinical skills to offer advice to medical, nursing, pharmacy staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Document clinical activities, incidents and interventions, consistent with the general documentation and reporting requirements of the department.
  • Provide supervision and support to junior pharmacists, pharmacy interns, and undergraduate students.

Remuneration value up to $152 776 p.a., comprising salary between $124,435 - $133,901 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (HP4) (temporary position available for 12 months).
