The role
As the primary point of contact, you will take lead responsibility in managing the service agreements between the Department and Mater Health Services, as well as other Hospital and Health Services (HHSs) as required. This involves monitoring and managing performance matters to ensure services and funding are delivered according to the terms of the service agreement and legislative requirements. You will lead the design and preparation of service agreement documentation, including deeds of amendment, ensuring all documents meet legislative and operational requirements, align with agreed objectives, and support efficient and timely healthcare delivery in Queensland. Coordination and preparation for performance review meetings and acting as the single point of contact for issues or disputes are also critical components of this role.

Additionally, you will lead activities related to the commissioning of new health facilities, particularly for the Mater Springfield Stage 2 project, by engaging with various Department of Health divisions and Mater to define current and future healthcare needs. This includes developing service agreements and negotiating during the planning phase. You will proactively monitor and manage the successful delivery of these projects, maintaining strong knowledge of contemporary health legislation and funding models. Establishing professional relationships with senior HHS executives and preparing high-quality project updates, briefs, reports, and advice for senior management are essential. Adhering to service quality standards and health and safety policies is paramount to ensure the provision of high-quality, safe services and workplaces.
