About us:

Located in the Aboriginal Community of Woorabinda, 175 km South-West of Rockhampton, the Woorabinda MPHS, provides first line, health care for the people of Woorabinda and surrounding rural population. The service also supports a range of General and selected Specialist Outpatient and Allied Health Services, including Pharmacy and visiting Dental Services.

About the role:

The Pharmacist – Senior position is responsible for the provision, development, and evaluation of quality pharmaceutical services for the Woorabinda MPHS.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide clinical pharmacy services of a complex nature, where established principles, procedures and methods require some expansion, adaptation, or modification.
  • Support and deliver quality use of medicine initiatives in the community to help support closing the gap initiative and medication adherence in high-risk complex clients such as webster packing and co-ordination of dose administration aids.
  • Participate in and contribute to an integrated service delivery model of patient care and contribute to regular multidisciplinary review of client care plans.

About you:

Mandatory qualification/s: Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a pharmacist in Australia (or eligible for registration in Australia).

  • Degree in pharmacy from a recognised tertiary institution (or equivalent).

Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: While not mandatory, a graduate Diploma or Masters qualification in an pharmacy-related field would be well regarded

Total remuneration value of up to $10,185 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $62.75 - $67.53 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
