A unique and exciting opportunity exists for a Management Accountant to join the Finance and Business Services team with the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service. Be part of a large diverse finance team managing a $1.8bln annual operating budget, and your role will specialise in Management Accounting providing support and partnership to the Senior Management Accountant and the rest of the Management Accounting team. 

Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south to Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include: 

  • Perform management accounting functions including assisting and coordinating with budget setting, performance reporting, data analysis and resource management including reporting on variances and investigate exceptions within a complex environment.
  • Provide support and assist the Senior Management Accountant in the preparation, allocation and monitoring of operating and minor capital budgets through assisting with budget work ups and forecast tools.
  • Coordinate and complete month end tasks to facilitate efficient and effective monthly reporting.
  • Access systems, analyse data and present quality and timely performance reports, advise and provide recommendations in consultation with the Senior Management Accountant.

Remuneration value up to $125 291 p.a., comprising salary between $100,410 - $109,812 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (PO3). Applications will remain current for 12 months. Please note: only applications from candidates will be accepted (applications that may result in an agency fee will not be considered). 

This role is entitled to Professional Development Allowance (PDA) and in addition to this has access to Professional Development Incentive Package including professional development leave entitlements in accordance with the Award.
