About us:

The Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, and Mount Morgan Speech Pathology Department support patients across the lifespan through the provision of preventative, diagnostic, rehabilitative and palliative speech pathology services.

About the role:

Opportunities exist to deliver Speech Pathology clinical services as a member of a multidisciplinary and Speech Pathology team to consumers of CQHHS. Provide high quality clinical Speech Pathology services to adult and paediatric patients with communication and swallowing disorders, provide clinical supervision and training, and contribute to the development of the speech pathology profession and clinical service through participation in quality improvement projects.

About you:

Mandatory qualification/s: The successful applicant must hold a tertiary degree (or equivalent) qualification in Speech Pathology from a recognised tertiary institution and demonstrate eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia (certified practicing membership with Speech Pathology Australia is desirable).

Upcoming graduates awaiting conferral of qualifications and registration will be considered for this role.

  • Clinical knowledge, skills, and experience in the provision of Speech Pathology services to both adult and paediatric patients with communication and swallowing disorders across the continuum of care.
  • Well-developed initiative and demonstrated ability to identify, plan and implement service improvements that enhance delivery of Speech Pathology services.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $128,706 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $42.40 - $56.89 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading

It is a condition of employment for this role for the employee to be, and remain, vaccinated against vaccine preventable diseases as listed on the Role Description.
