About the role

NMRT Transition to Acute Care Practice Program has been designed to support the development of nurses requiring upskilling and transitional support nurses back to the acute care setting within Ipswich Hospital.

NMRT operates a seven-day service, 24 hours a day. Our team support WMHS organisational and operational needs by assisting in day-to-day emergent leave replacement.  Our nursing team provides quality, timely and excellent patient care across most clinical departments | wards of Ipswich Hospital.

Registered Nurses accepted into this program will be required to:

  • Accept a 0.63 – 0.84 FTE temporary contract within the Nursing and Midwifery Resource Team.
  • Meet program expectations outlined below:
    • Completion of ieMR PowerChart and MAR training
    • 100% completion mandatory training.
    • Completion of Pre-Program Self-Assessment to measure the confidence | knowledge | skills of staff before commencement of the program.
    • Commencement and completion of the State-wide Acute Care Transition Program (TSP).
    • Attendance to the NMRT Clinical Skills Workshop.
    • Successful completion of Clinical Performance Assessment Tool
      • Subsequent education professional development growth plans
    • Completion of workbook assessment and clinical reflection
    • Completion of Post-Program Self-Assessment to measure the confidence | knowledge | skills of staff on completion of the program.

 

This advertisement is part of a rolling recruitment process; applications will be assessed as received. There will be 3 intakes per year to this program.
