About us:

Gladstone Hospital is a 70-bed hospital and offers a range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient services including emergency, general medicine and surgery, basic orthopaedic, clinical investigation, obstetrics, maternity, gynaecology, high dependency and coronary care, palliative care, medical imaging, pathology, and paediatrics. The Maintenance Department provides repairs, servicing, and maintenance support to the Gladstone Hospital.

About the role:

This opportunity is to provide, develop and maintain an efficient, effective administration service to the Maintenance Department, including coordinating administrative activities relating to Maintenance Department projects.

  • Prepare, review, and maintain an effective office records and data management system, including filing system, work orders and service records.
  • Ensure that department priority schedules and deadlines are effectively met by running daily work order reports regularly, prioritising and delegating them to external contractors and internal employees, liaising with external contractors to coordinate works required.

About you:

  • Ability to quickly acquire a working knowledge of the Maintenance Department's activities, policies, and specialised computer software.
  • Understanding of quality improvement processes and human resource management issues including workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and anti-discrimination.
  • Demonstrated clerical and administrative support skills including ability to use contemporary software packages particularly the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
  • Well-developed organisational skills with a proven ability to prioritise and schedule tasks to ensure commitments and deadlines are met.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $7,901 p.m. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $37.68 - $41.90 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading
