About you:

In your new role you will…

  • Demonstrate knowledge, expertise and skill in Speech Pathology, including demonstrated commitment to professional development, evidence-based practice and quality improvement.
  • Demonstrate ability to provide routine generalist Speech Pathology intervention across a broad spectrum of clinical areas and apply established principles to meet service and caseload demands.
  • Demonstrate effective communication skills, including interpersonal, written, oral, technological and educational and the ability to interact effectively with members of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrate ability, or ability to develop the necessary skills, to provide guidance, support and education to less experienced staff and students.

About your opportunity:

In this position you will assist in the ongoing development of the Speech Pathology service within the Cassowary Hub and participate in quality improvement and research activities as directed by the Team Leader Allied Health and the Director of Speech Pathology.

About your role:

  • Deliver contemporary Speech Pathology clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management within a multi-disciplinary team in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
  • Actively participate in the identification, development and implementation of quality and service improvement activities, including projects and research activities, that enhance the delivery of Speech Pathology and allied health services within the Cassowary Hub and CHHHS.
  • Work cooperatively and effectively in a professional manner with team members, external agencies, clients and families/carers to achieve a client centred approach.
  • Assist as part of the Speech Pathology Team to manage daily organisation of the workload of the Speech Pathology Service Cassowary Hub (including relevant allied health assistant staff and students) in the most appropriate manner using planning, time management skills and prioritisation.
