An exciting opportunity exists for the Lead Software Developer to provide a sound level of technical expertise to the development, implementation, administration, maintenance and support of information systems and services to the current and projected needs of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service. The Software Development team develop and support bespoke applications to support clinical and corporate areas of the health service.

Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Service (SCHHS) is in southeast Queensland and extends through the coastal and hinterland areas from Caloundra in the south and Gympie in the north.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Work with a team of computer professionals analysing, designing, developing, configuring and implementing information systems and services that require creative solutions and fulfil diverse user requirements.
  • Undertake complex systems analysis, design, programming and testing in relation to the detailed development, maintenance and enhancement of in-house developed software applications and maintenance of third-party and off the shelf applications that are utilised throughout the SCHHS.
  • Undertake the role of Technical Lead, in conjunction with the Project Manager to assist the Business Users to define their detailed requirements and work jointly with them to define, create and implement a working productions solution.

Remuneration value up to $127,235 p.a., comprising salary between $102,492 - $111,516 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO5).
