Covenant Health in partnership with Alberta Health Services and the Department of Clinical Neurosciences & Department of Medicine, Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Alberta, invites applications for a Neurologist to be based primarily at the Grey Nuns Community Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta.

The successful applicants will be expected to apply for a Clinical Faculty Appointment in the Department of Medicine, University of Alberta, which will be considered under a separate process through the Faculty of Medicine & Dentistry.

The successful candidate will provide clinical care for patients and will participate in other clinical activities of the Neurology division. They will assume accountability and oversight for the care delivered to Neurological patients including those suffering from Stroke. The individual will also provide stroke consultation services in collaboration with the Grey Nuns Community Hospital Stroke Program.

Required:

· MD or equivalent.

· Licensed or eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.

· Training in the field of stroke and stroke research.

· Certification in Neurology with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada.

· Expertise and commitment to quality care and patient safety.

· Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) in the healthcare environment.

· Understanding of Just Culture and its role in healthcare.
