About us:

We aim to reduce the harm from alcohol and drug use as well as improve the health and wellbeing of our clients, their families, and the community. Our main office is in Rockhampton however, we also provide outreach services to other areas including Yeppoon, Emerald, Blackwater, and Biloela.

About the role:

This position provides a high level of specialist clinical practice in the delivery of drug and alcohol health services to clients. It is a requirement to provide a high level of advice and consultative services to support improved service provision of drug and alcohol health services to clients in the Central Queensland Hospital and Health Service area.

  • Deliver high level best practice Alcohol and Other Drugs and professional clinical services (includes assessment, care planning, therapy interventions, case management, consultation, health promotion, early identification/intervention, liaison, and education) and integrate initiatives with high degree of independence in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.

About you:

Mandatory qualifications: The successful applicant must possess a four-year degree in Psychology (Honours or Graduate Diploma) from an accredited tertiary institution.

  • Full Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate.

Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: Previous experience working in Alcohol and Other Drug field would be highly regarded.

Salary information:

Total remuneration value of up to $152,776 p.a. is comprised of:

  • An hourly rate between $62.75 - $67.53 p.h.
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
