The role:

The role is with the Access Manager Improvement Project (AMIP) within the Cyber Security Projects. The project will improve the Access Manager service through solution remediation and delivery of enhancements to improve end-user experience. The Access Manager Improvement Project requires a Senior Operations Specialist to provide leadership in the successful delivery of technical deliverables through the ITIL Service Management model while meeting defined service levels and process criteria.

Access Manager provides identity access and management for Queensland Health. Identity Access Management is a critical part of any digital landscape. It lays the foundation for users and customers to access and use digital services securely without compromising the security of these systems. It also aims to transform manual, complex, high-overhead tasks into automated processes.

Working knowledge of ServiceNow, Microsoft's Active Directory will be highly desirable.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Lead the ITIL Service Management processes within the project including incident/ problem / change / release management. This will involve working closely with the project technical specialists.
  • Analyse and implement policies, procedures, and standards for delivering ICT Infrastructure and Services for the Identity Access Management solution. 
  • Manage activities and priorities across organisational boundaries to meet defined service levels in a customer focused ICT service environment.
  • Work with the Project Manager and Business Change Manager on engagement activities with the Operational Teams in regard to Service Management of the Identity Access Management solution and the associated operational transition activities.

Are you right for this role?

To be successful in this role you will have a proven ability to meet service delivery targets and implement quantifiable service improvements by managing workloads, priorities and working unsupervised. You will have well-developed interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to negotiate, advice and include others to work collaboratively. Furthermore, you will need to demonstrate your ability to develop and promote ITIL Service Management processes.
