The Position
Opportunities available for Staff Specialist and/or Senior Medical Officer's to join the Emergency Medicine team on a Permanent Full-Time and/or Permanent Part-Time basis. 

The position allows for the following:
  • Competitive remuneration with extensive support for professional development.

  • There is an active and successful postgraduate education and training program. Accredited for 12 months of ACEM fellowship training, and 2 months of AST training through ACRRM and RACGP
  • ACEM Certificate, Diploma and Advanced Diploma training.

The Facility
Recently, the hospital underwent a substantial $408 million renovation and expansion, effectively doubling its bed capacity to over 300 and augmenting its footprint by 40,000 square meters, which includes a new Emergency Department. It has transformed into a cutting-edge, fully modernized facility, ranking among Australia's largest regional healthcare institutions.
  • Moreover, the hospital holds accreditation for training with several colleges and extends a range of specialized services to the local community.
  • These services encompass Emergency Department, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Pediatrics, Orthopaedics, Anaesthetics, Intensive Care Unit, Coronary Care, Psychiatry, Aged Care, Renal Medicine, Ear, Nose, and Throat, Ophthalmology, Palliative Care, and Day Surgery.
  • The ED caseload includes significant trauma and a varied mix including 25% paediatrics.  

The Requirements
  • Mandatory possession of an approved medicine degree from a registered tertiary institution.
  • General and Specialist registration with AHPRA
  • Fellowship or eligibility for Fellowship of the Australasian College for Emergency Medicine.
