About you:

In your new role you will…

  • Demonstrate high level knowledge, skills and experience in providing best practice, evidence-based treatment services to adult mental health clients and their families.
  • Demonstrate high level clinical and professional leadership skills, effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work both cooperatively and independently in a flexible and innovative multidisciplinary team setting, collaboratively with community groups and other agencies, and to contribute to the ongoing development review of the Service.
  • Demonstrate high level knowledge of National and State Mental Health Directions and legislation relevant to the provision of specialist Mental Health Services.

About your opportunity:

In this position you will provide high level quality rural mental health care including case management, assessment and acute care service, mental health promotion and education, and consultation liaison services to the adult mental health clients and their families within the community of the Hinterland Hub, as a member of a multidisciplinary team.

About your role:

  • Provide high level clinical and professional leadership in partnership with the team leader and other clinicians with the Tablelands MHT to deliver a range of mental health services which is appropriate, acceptable and accessible to the Tablelands Hospital and Health Service.
  • Provide a collaborative case management service, intake and referral role and acute care service to adults with identified mental health problems.
  • Participate in clinical assessments, counselling and therapy in accordance with recognised principles of discipline specific practice and in conjunction with other members of the team.
  • Identify and implement practice-based research and participate in staff education and development activities.
