About the role

You will be working in the Program Performance unit that sits within the Operations Branch. Your role will be to develop, define, implement, and train project control functions to improve project outcomes for the division.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Analysing program, project and financial data trends and making strategic recommendations to support decision making processes.
  • Completing monthly financial reconciliation, including variance analysis (e.g., budget forecast, actual expenditure, and contingency).
  • Preparing program, project, and financial control reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for capital infrastructure projects.
  • Working closely with project officers and directors to monitor budgets, project lifecycle analysis and forecasting functions.
  • Undertaking research and analysis to solve problems to support project implementation and identify opportunities for improvements in processes and service delivery.

The successful person

The successful person will be someone who can undertake program, project and financial management best practices and maintain excellent relationships with project teams and key stakeholders to assist in the successful delivery of capital infrastructure programs.

Whilst not mandatory, a relevant qualification will be well regarded.

  • P3O and MSP experience desirable.
  • Experience with program, project, and finance controls.
  • Intermediate Excel and Power Bi skills, particularly working with large data sets.
