The Role: Our client is seeking an Advanced Trainee to join their Emergency Medicine team in an accredited role for 2025.
The ED has dedicated areas for resuscitation, acute presentations, ambulant and fast track presentations, paediatrics, dedicated metal health assessment and procedure room. ARRH ED is the tablelands telestroke centre and is actively involved in telehealth with the smaller rural hospitals.
The Hospital: A spacious and modern, well-equipped referral facility providing a comprehensive range of services including; acute medical and surgical, obstetrics, paediatrics and a range of diagnostic and allied health services.
Led by the FACEM Director, the ED department is staffed by CMO’s.
The Emergency Department redevelopment opened in 2018 as part of the new development of the Hospital including a new medical ward, operating theatres and HDU, is the Rural Referral Hospital for the region.
The busy ED has approximately 18,000 presentations per year with 25% admission rate. and 25% paediatric presentations.
Medical services include; respiratory, cardiac, chemotherapy, renal and palliative care. Surgical services include; general, orthopaedics, gynaecology, urology and ophthalmology.
The Location: Known for its beautiful tree lined streets and magnificent autumn colours, it sits high on the beautiful Northern Tablelands. Located between Sydney and Brisbane, it is an easy commute to these major cities.
The region offers diversity in outdoor activities; visit the nearby breathtaking World Heritage listed National Parks which boasts spectacular gorges and waterfalls. The Requirements:
Hold general registration with AHPRA with at least three years post-graduate experience of which some in Emergency Medicine.
